Fans Outraged at Kourtney Kardashian Over Allegations of Idea Theft for Her Lemme Brand

Critics have slammed Kourtney Kardashian’s Lemme tracksuit, accusing it of being a blatant rip-off of Juicy Couture’s iconic style. This latest controversy adds to a long list of accusations against the Kardashian-Jenner family for copying designs and ideas.

Kourtney’s Lemme brand, which primarily focuses on health and wellness products like gummies and vitamins, recently ventured into apparel with the launch of a new tracksuit. However, fans quickly pointed out the striking resemblance to Juicy Couture’s famous velour tracksuits. The Lemme tracksuit, priced at $150, features a purple velour set with a zip-up jacket and matching track pants. The jacket has a diamante pattern on the lower back, and the pants spell out “Lemme” in silver diamante gems across the rear, echoing Juicy Couture’s signature style of displaying “Juicy” across the butt.

Photos of the tracksuit surfaced on Reddit, where critics did not hold back their thoughts. One thread aptly titled “Lemme Just Steal This Design” sparked a flurry of negative comments. One user wrote, “So…it’s a wellness, lifestyle, and now apparel brand? They are idiots at business,” while another added, “Why even bother putting her dumb logo on such an iconic design? Does she think nobody will notice?”

This isn’t the first time the Kardashian-Jenner family has faced such accusations. Over the years, they have been involved in numerous controversies regarding originality and intellectual property. In 2017, Kylie Jenner’s makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, was accused by makeup artist Vlada Haggerty of copying her lip art designs, leading to a settlement in which Kylie credited Haggerty. Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, initially named Kimono, sparked backlash for cultural appropriation and was rebranded as SKIMS. Additionally, Kim’s beauty brand, KKW Beauty, faced accusations in 2018 from Danish makeup artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis for imitating her packaging design.

Despite these controversies, the Kardashian-Jenner brands have shown resilience. Kourtney launched Lemme in September 2022, promoting products with a focus on natural ingredients and holistic health solutions. Although the brand has faced criticism regarding the efficacy of its supplements, it has managed to sustain its presence in the market.

The Kardashian-Jenner family’s ability to bounce back from controversies suggests that Lemme might endure this latest criticism as well. However, the repeated accusations of copying designs raise ongoing questions about the originality and ethics of their business practices.
