Luka Modric WALKS oᴜt of interview after a question from a Spanish reporter… following Croatia’s ѕetЬасk in Euro 2024 with a late dгаw аɡаіпѕt Albania.

Luka Modric appeared in no mood to discuss Croatia’s 2-2 draw with Albania at Euro 2024, walking away from an interview after getting annoyed with a question from a Spanish journalist.

Croatia was close to a crucial victory until Klaus Gjasula secured a point for Albania in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

This result means Croatia will likely need to beat Italy on Monday to have any chance of reaching the knockout stage.

Despite the disappointment on his face, Modric seemed to be answering questions normally until a Spanish reporter asked if it would be the younger or older players who would fight for the victory against Italy next week. The 38-year-old Real Madrid star looked puzzled by the question before walking away.

It was at this point that Modric appeared to have enough, as he said: ‘Come on, let’s go,’ before walking out of his interview with the media early.

Croatia’s disappointing tournament to date, has raised questions over whether this could be the end of their ‘golden generation’.

Since 2018, they have reached the finals of the 2018 World Cup, were third in Qatar four years later and were also runners-up to Spain in the Nations League final in 2023.

But now it appears their best hopes of advancing out of the group stage is by making it as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Croatia’s 3-0 defeat to Spain in their opener means they are already on the backfoot due to their negative goal difference compared to the rest of the sides in the group.

Euro 2024 is expected to be Modric’s last dance on the international scene, as he will be 40 by the time of the 2026 World Cup.

Before walking out of the interview, he told the media that Croatia can defeat Italy if they replicate their second-half performance against Albania.

Croatia went behind in the first-half but scored two goals in two second-half minutes through Andre Kramaric and an own-goal from Gjasula – who netted the equaliser in stoppage time for Albania.
