Upon reaching the location, the baby elephant was found sprawled on the ground, fіɡһtіпɡ to breathe.

Acting swiftly, the veterinary team responded promptly by placing a blanket over the calf and administering 20 cc of dexamethasone Hcl through the ear vein.

Subsequently, a bolus of 50% dextrose was administered through a slow intravenous (IV) infusion.

Observing improvements in the calf’s breathing and pulse, the team implemented additional measures, including antibiotics, a Vitamin B12 complex, and further IV fluid therapy to stabilize the young elephant.

The effeсtіⱱe intervention paved the way for the calf’s airlift to the Nairobi stockade for intensive care.

Under the watchful care of committed handlers, the orphaned calf overcame the oddѕ and achieved a complete recovery.

After regaining strength and health, the resilient youngster effortlessly blended with other orphans in the Nairobi Nursery, symbolizing a triumphant chapter in its journey from critical condition to a flourishing life in the sanctuary.
