Mysterious Creature, Allegedly ‘Chupacabra’, Discovered in Itapúa, Paraguay
Residents of Paraguay claim to have come across the infamous ‘Chupacabra’. The enigmatic creature was found on the banks of the Paraná River. This unsettling discovery was reported by the blog Mysterious Universe.
“On Wednesday, October 21st, a unique body was found in the locality of Carmen del Paraná, near the aforementioned river. As you can see in the photograph above, its appearance is reminiscent of a decomposed human or a strange monkey.
That was precisely what the volunteer firefighters who examined it initially thought: that it was an atypical primate in the area,” the blog reported.
The legend of the ‘Chupacabra’ tells of an enigmatic being that preys on domestic animals and drains their blood until they die. Of course, its name is derived from its particular preference for goats as a food source.
The story might seem more like a folk tale than reality, but in various Latin American countries, this cryptid is so famous that many are convinced of its existence.
And recent findings, such as the one along the Paraná River’s banks (Itapúa, Paraguay), only serve to reinforce these beliefs.
