The alleged incident occurred on February 24, 2018, at a medical building in Beverly Hills, where Cardi was attending an appointment while pregnant with her first child, Kulture, who is now 19 months old.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Ellis claims that Cardi maliciously struck her in the head, face, and body during the encounter. However, eyewitnesses provide a different perspective, stating that the security guard attempted to record videos or take photos of Cardi without her consent, prompting the altercation. Despite tensions escalating, witnesses assert that the confrontation did not turn physical, and no racial slurs were exchanged.
The lawsuit alleges that Cardi used her celebrity status to have Ellis fired from her job as a security guard.
