The photographer is photographer Tammy Nicole, currently living in Munich, Germany. The photo project called “Walks of Motherhood” (roughly translated: “Journey to motherhood” ) has attracted a lot of spread and sharing from people during World Breastfeeding Week (from January 1 to 7/8).
Tammy shared that taking photos of breastfeeding mothers is a special job for her, “This job brings me a lot of emotions that cannot be expressed in any other language other than images. The moments of breastfeeding are one of the few things in life where you can’t seem to find the right words to describe what you feel.”
Gathering all the sacred breastfeeding moments that she recorded over a long period of time, each photo represents Tammy’s own ѕtгoпɡ feelings towards each different mother. She said: “Every time I look back at these moments, I feel like I am connected to a wonderful source of energy.”
A set of photos and an emotional video are a meaningful gift that the young photographer wants to give to all mothers who are giving their babies milk with all their love. Along the way, Tammy asked mothers a common question: “What does breastfeeding mean to you?” and the answers she received could melt anyone.
“Breastfeeding is a wonderful bond between me and my child. It creates an inseparable bond between us.”
“My little baby went looking for breast milk and breastfed just seconds after he was born. It was the most wonderful feeling of intimacy in the world.”
“That was the moment we forgot everything around us. We hugged, caressed, connected and gave each other smiles. We felt each other’s skin and that was the purest love in life”.
“Breastfeeding makes our lives more complete. It brings love and life to all of us.”
“Nothing can fill my һeагt like that wonderful moment.”
“My body can give my child this mаɡісаɩ gift. It is a powerful, іпteпѕe feeling that is also extremely personal.”
