Pregnancy is an incredibly demanding and often underestimated journey. Expecting mothers endure 37 to 42 weeks of nurturing a new life, during which they often grapple with various physical and emotional challenges. These encompass potential complications both during pregnancy and childbirth, the persistent discomfort of symptoms like nausea and hormonal fluctuations, and the significant lifestyle adjustments, including the inability to sleep on one’s stomach. These daily “burdens” accompany pregnant women throughout their journey.
The postpartum phase proves to be equally taxing. Unforeseen issues such as postnatal depression and anxiety can unexpectedly affect new mothers, diminishing their ability to fully savor the long-awaited joys of motherhood. Physical changes, such as hair loss due to fluctuating estrogen levels, are commonplace, along with issues like pelvic organ prolapse, back pain, and an unexpected but self-evident transformation – alterations in bone structure.
