Unlike its counterparts, a unique Brazilian bull named Diamond was born with a distinctive appearance. Instead of growing two symmetrical horns, this muscular brown bull had only a single horn protruding from the center of its forehead.
Since birth, Diamond has always had just one horn. Immediately, its image evoked thoughts of the mythical creature, the unicorn.
Starting from the 1920s, Dr. W. F. Dove dedicated a significant portion of his life to the study of hybridizing goats, cattle, and other single-horned animals on his biological farm. Among his projects was the single-horned bull. However, the “beloved offspring” of Dr. Dove only lived for three years before passing away.
Due to the rarity of single-horned animals in the wild, this phenomenon is considered one of the extremely rare genetic mutations.
