On March 19, 2019, at Tama Zoo (Tama Zoological Park, Tokyo, Japan), a male lion was fiercely attacked by the entire group of lionesses. As many as six lionesses joined forces to try to kill the male lion.

Each lioness targeted a specific position, completely overpowering the male lion and forcing him to lie still in agony, enduring the relentless attack.
It is unclear what happened to the male lion afterward, but the injuries it suffered were certainly severe.
