This artwork is my contribution to the Love Around the World 2015 collaboration, drawing inspiration from the Greek mythology of Baucis and Philemon. In their tale, the gods granted them an eternal bond, destined to never be apart, even in death. When they passed away, they transformed into intertwined trees, forever connected. Working with human faces was a rare endeavor for me, as I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve tackled such a challenge. My aim was not only to sculpt them skillfully but also to convey deep emotions. The completed works are truly remarkable, offering viewers an objective perspective on love.
