The birth of a two-headed calf has surprised a village in northern Morocco. Born on December 30, the young calf was named Sana Saida, translating to ‘Happy New Year’ in Arabic. Since its arrival, the creature has garnered considerable attention, drawing locals from Sefrou, a village situated less than 20 miles from Fez, to the farm for a glimpse.

The calf is identified as polycephalic, signifying the presence of more than one head.
Contrary to the distinctive appearance of Sana Saida, it wasn’t the sole occurrence of its kind in 2013. In October of the same year, a small heifer with two heads was born in Whiting, Vermont, United States, and was regarded as a ‘blessing.’
A veterinarian explained that the calf was initially meant to be a twin, but the eggs failed to separate correctly.
